Nestled in the heart of the North Pennines, Stone Carrs Cottages offers two comfortable holiday homes in Weardale & Cumbria (Eden Valley).

The North Pennines National Landscape (formerly AONB - Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and UNESCO Global Geopark is one of England’s most special places – a stunning, upland landscape of wide open moors, flower-rich hay meadows, intimate woods, inky-black night skies, charismatic wildlife, fascinating industrial heritage, tumbling rivers and dramatic waterfalls. Here you will find a peaceful, unspoilt landscape with a rich history and vibrant natural beauty.

Carrs Cottage, Weardale

A warm and cosy cottage in the heart of the village of Westgate, Carrs Cottage is a perfect base for experiencing the beauty of the surrounding countryside. There are plenty of footpaths meandering through the beautiful Durham Dales and North Pennines, and the Lake District and Northumberland are within easy reach.

Fully refurbished Carrs Cottage benefits from two double bedrooms, a cosy lounge and a well equipped kitchen. There is a village pub opposite with their own micro brewery and home cooked food (open Thursday - Sunday). Also within walking distance to St Johns Chapel with 2 pubs, cafe and Co-op.

Sleeps a maximum of 4 people. Pets are welcome.

Grove Cottages, Alston

A warm and cosy cottage within walking distance of the small town of Alston in Cumbria, high up in the North Pennines countryside. From every direction Alston is approached over a broad, heather-clad Pennine Landscape. The Lake District and Northumberland are within easy distance. Alston has a steep cobbled main street with a distinctive market cross, and many stone buildings dating from the 17th century.

This fully refurbished cottage comprises of two bedrooms with king-size beds, both with en-suites a spacious lounge and outside seating. Sleeps a maximum of 4 people. Pets welcome.
